Andy Lau takes the blame for ‘Switch’: “I am sorry”

Andy Lau’s Switch <天機─富春山居圖> continues to be hit by poor reviews.

A few days ago, Andy was promoting his new film, Blind Detective <盲探> in Shanghai. Although the organiser has banned all questions relating to Switch, reporters continued to hound Andy regarding the bad reviews surrounding the film.

Andy did not avoid the questions and replied, “Because this is my responsibility. From today onward, I will account to myself and to all of you.”

For the first time, the heavenly king admitted his mistake for choosing the wrong script.

“My biggest mistake is to choose the wrong film! I overestimate myself and always thought that I could turn any scripts into good ones. I will do better the next time. Sorry!”

For fear that his Switch will affect the box office of his new film, Blind Detective, Andy expressed, “It’s my fault. Sammi Cheng and Johnnie To are very good.”

Blind Detective director, Johnnie To spoke up for Andy and said that Andy was not for money and fame. He was only helping a new director.

Andy is the not only one who gets the blame. His Taiwanese co-star, Lin Chi-ling has also been named the “Queen of bad movies”.

In the meantime, Taiwan has cancelled tonight’s Switch premiere in which Chi-ling is supposed to attend.

The movie production company cited, “So as not to lose the focus and protect the artistes” as a reason to call off the premiere.

  1. I don’t mind saying sorry after reaping millions for this acting role.

As for Lin Chiling, it confirms she is worse than a vase, she is a pot now.
