Taiwanese host Aya is currently three months pregnant and is expected to give birth in August.
The 35-year-old will also register for marriage with her American-Chinese boyfriend, Tony in United States. The couple does not intend to hold any wedding banquet in Taiwan.
Yesterday, the expectant mother was spotted meeting her friends, producer Chiu Li-Kwan, Bowie Tsang and Xie Na for an afternoon tea. During the gathering, she was overhead saying to her friends, “I hope that it’s a girl.”
After the session, a reporter attempted to interview Aya on her pregnancy, but she declined to respond and sneaked back into the restaurant.
Aya’s mother revealed that she had gained 5 kg since her pregnancy. Being a vegetarian for 18 years, Aya insists on a vegetarian diet and consumes more milk, eggs, cheese and beans to replenish more protein in her diet.
Aya’s baby will be taken care by her in-laws in future. Aya’s mother said “Her in-laws will not mind the gender of the baby as long as the baby is safe and healthy.”
Aya will continue her showbiz career and will juggle between US, Taiwan and China.
