Candy Chang suspected in drug possession case

TVB actress, Candy Chang (張慧雯) and a male friend were suspected to be in drug possession and were arrested by the police yesterday evening.

At around 10 pm, the police discovered a van speeding and weaving from side to side on the road. When the police chased after the van, the driver increased its speed to 150km/h and tried to shake off the police cars. Eventually, the van was intercepted at the roundabout of Lok Ma Chau, Hong Kong when it was outflanked by two other police cars.

Both Candy and her alleged boyfriend were arrested and brought back to the police station for further investigation. 

At 11.30 am this morning, Candy clarified herself on Weibo and wrote, “Why must I meet such an incident? A friend recommended a driver to send me home. I only fell asleep a while and then met into such unfortunate incident when I woke up. The reports even falsified the relationship between me and the driver. I am so unlucky! Reallly unlucky! I hope that friends can pray for me and that the matter can be resolved soon.”

However, her message on Weibo was deleted at 2 pm this afternoon, drawing speculations on her removal of the post.

Candy was the second runner up of the Miss Chinese International Pageant in 2010. A fast rising star in TVB, she was widely recognised as the doctor role, Kan Ching Ching (簡晶晶) in popular drama, The Hippocratic Crush .
