The 45-year-old actress, who have 3 daughters from her previous marriages, has accepted her 33-year-old boyfriend’s wedding proposal. At the recording of the Hubei TV show Perhaps Love <如果愛>, Golden secretly invited parents from both sides and Christy’s daughters to witness his wedding proposal.
It was also the first time in which Christy’s parents met their future son-in-law. In the past, Christy parents were not able to accept their relationship due to their 12 years’ age gap. However, they have changed their minds after getting to know Golden better.
Christy said, “After my parents met him, they think that he is very kind-hearted, and responsible. Although he is young, he takes care of the family well. They now accept our relationship!”
Christy also revealed that her father liked the fact that Golden does not smoke or drink and loves exercising. Although Golden and her father have language barrier, they are able to communicate, and chat happily.
According to Hong Kong media, Golden’s mother also had her reservations towards Christy, as she was worried that she would not be able to conceive due to her age. She also persuaded Golden to look for a younger wife, so that she is able to have more kids.
However, Golden’s mother has changed her opinion on Christy after she met her, and praised her for being kind-hearted, independent and filial.
Christy’s future mother-in-law also said of her, “She is someone who will give my son happiness.”
