Rumour has it that Hebe Tien and her recording company, HIM International Music are unhappy with JJ Lin’s recent love declaration to her at his concert.
For the past ten years, JJ has expressed several times that he had a crush on the S.H.E member. HIM International Music reportedly thinks that it is merely a publicity stunt from the Singaporean singer.
According to a Taiwanese tabloid, JJ has requested to take a photo with Hebe at the backstage of the Music Radio China Top Chart Award in 2012. When the photo was published the next day, it was reported that “JJ had coincidentally bumped into Hebe”. The report even described that ”he was too shy to ask for her number.”
A source closed to Hebe said, “This was obviously a set up. Hebe was being made use.”
In June, JJ sent flowers and red wine to Hebe when she was in Singapore for her concert. He also extended an invitation to her to attend his concert in July. To repay his kindness, Hebe agreed and showed up at his concert in Taiwan. However, she did not expect him to profess his love for her publicly on the stage.
“Hebe cares a lot about her face. This has caused so much embarrassment to her. It’s likely that they can’t even be friends anymore,” said a source.
Recently, JJ was also being photographed on an outing with Rooftop actress, Li Xinai, sparking speculations if the pair is currently dating.
When asked last week if he would invite Hebe to his Hong Kong concert, JJ expressed, “The matter has passed and we are all busy with our own lives.”
Responding on his love confession to Hebe, JJ’s recording label Warner Music said, “All artistes have the right to make friends. There is nothing to explain.”
Meanwhile, Hebe’s management company said, “It has only been an interaction between friends all along.”
