Last year, Jolin Tsai had to cancel a pole-dance performance for her Taipei concert after an accident during a practice session. She was told to refrain from strenuous exercises after sustaining injuries from her fall.
The accident apparently does not deter Jolin from challenging the pole-dance again. The pop diva vows to complete her pole-dance at her upcoming concert in Kaohsiung on 13 April 2013. Jolin will be performing a ‘spinning pole-dance’ on a 4-metre high steel pole. As the challenging stunt requires Jolin to spin around the pole, her company has taken a NT$100 million insurance coverage for her risky performance!
Jolin also releases her latest music video, Beast, which is a dance track from her MUSE album. Painted red over her body, Jolin joked that she looked like a superwoman from the cartoon, The Incredibles. In the MV, Jolin will also need to soak in a pile of sand.
Sharing her experiences in a ‘sand spa’, Jolin said, “It is like doing a exfoliating scrub for my body!”
