Kenneth Ma to make big screen debut in Jackie Chan’s movie

TVB actor, Kenneth Ma has caught the eye of Hong Kong movie star, Jackie Chan.

The 39-year-old will be making his big screen debut in Jackie’s romantic comedy production, Fate is a Game <緣來是遊戲> (temporary title). He will be playing the role of a handsome lawyer and twines his fate around seven women. Kenneth’s female lead will be Love is not Blind <失戀33天> star, Zhang Xixuan who has been nominated as the Best Newcomer in the 49th Golden Horse Award.

Other stars include Eric Tsang and Irene Wan and Jackie may also make a guest appearance in his own film.

So how has Kenneth caught the attention of Jackie?

In the recent Triumph in the Skies 2 <衝上雲霄Ⅱ> drama, Kenneth plays a flirtatious pilot who is surrounded by many women. His passionate scene with his girlfriend on the beach and bed sene with Elena Kong has made an impression in Jackie who believed that he is the perfect man in his romantic comedy.

Kenneth’s meteoric rise to fame has attracted many invitations from filmmakers, but the TVB actor has eventually chosen to work with Jackie. He reportedly will pocket HK$3 million starring in the movie!

During a telephone interview yesterday, Kenneth has admitted about his movie screen debut and said that he is looking forward to learn from producer, Jackie Chan and director, Frankie Chan.

Asked about his HK$3 million remuneration, Kenneth smiled, “I can’t reveal the amount, but my mind went blank after hearing the remuneration. I am afterall a newcomer in the movie industry.”
