After ending his 9 years relationship with Joyce Tang in 2007, Marco Ngai dated a 20-year-old Chinese student, Zhang Lihua who is 20 years younger and tied the knot with her in 2008.
Recently, tabloids claimed that Marco’s wife had a close male friend, and suggested that his marriage was on the rocks.
Last month, Lihua was seen heading home after her shopping. Instead of spending time with Marco and her five-year-old daughter, Lihua left the home again in less an hour. She was spotted checking the environment around before walking towards a Mercedes Benz.
A man who was dressed fashionably was spotted inside the vehicle, and he later drove her to a restaurant for dinner. The duo was chatting happily during the meal, and the man even cracked jokes to make her laugh. Realising that the air-conditioning was too cold, the man immediately removed his jacket for Lihua to put on, and he even picked the food on her plates.
The man was later identified as Deng Hongye, who was the East Asian Games cycling gold medalist.
The duo then headed to a cruise terminal after the dinner. While strolling in a secluded area, Hongye was seen carrying Lihua’s handbag and holding her waist.
Reports said that Lihua was very discreet whenever she met up with Hongye. To avoid bumping into Marco, Lihua would always alight at a distance away from her house.
Reports also said that Lihua and Hongye knew each other a year ago through a mutual friend and the duo often showed up together in friends’ gatherings. A source said that Lihua had thought of a divorce as she felt that her feelings with Marco had slowly faded and they were not able to communicate anymore.
