Michelle Chen recently releases her new album Me, myself and I. She describes her new song, Sorry as a “song filled with guilt”. While there were speculations that the song was about her secret romance with Alan Ko, it turns out that it is an apologetic song for her first boyfriend, Aron.

Taiwanese tabloids reported that Aron was from a wealthy family and had good looks. Aron has intended to marry Michelle but the latter subsequently broke up with him to pursue her showbiz career. After breaking with Michelle, the heartbroken Aron reportedly turned to drinking and got to know the drug users at night clubs, who led him astray. Eventually, Aron was sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment for drug peddling.

When the reporter visited Aron at the prison, he was protective of his relationship with Michelle and only disclosed that they had studied together at the United States. The couple returned to Taiwan together in 2006. To prioritise her career, Michelle suggested the breakup the next year on the Christmas day.

From the papers, Aron has known that his ex-girlfriend had shot to stardom and is conferred the “people’s goddess”. He recently also came to know that she has just released her album. During his four years in jail, he has never disclosed his past romance with Michelle.

However, he said that he still missed her and had even dreamt of her.

“She has a good personality and is a very good girl,” said Aron.

When told that Michelle had specifically written the song to him, Aron said, “I will be very touched if she really dedicates the song to me! I have to thank her very much!”

Finally, a sentimental Aron said, “I only hope that I will appear as a brand new person in front of her after 16 years.”
