After losing the Best Actor award, rumours are circling that TVB will compensate Raymond Lam to win the Most Popular Male Singer at the Jade Solid Gold Best Ten Music Awards Presentation held on 13 January 2013.
Bagging the Most Popular Male Singer award from 2008-2011, Leo Ku will give this year’s award a miss. Hence, hot favourite singer Raymond is tipped to win the Most Popular Male Singer award.
Rehearsing for his upcoming concert on 26-27 January 2013, TVB executives Virginia Lok, Au Wai Lam and EEG CEO Ng Yu visited Raymond to lend their support to him. Their visit is widely seen as a morale booster to Raymond to bag the Most Popular Male Singer award.
For the Most Popular Female Singer, Joey Yung is widely speculated to win the award. Her hit track Wallpaper <牆紙> is also tipped to bag the Best Song of the Year. For the Asia Pacific Most Popular Female Singer, Ivana Wong looks like a hot favourite although EEG is eager to clinch the award for Charlene Choi as well.
Show Luo initially is tipped to win the Asia Pacific Most Popular Male Singer award. However, there will be a no-show for the Taiwanese pop singer due to his performance in Wenzhou. Taiwanese boyband, LOLLIPOOP is said to be taking away the award instead.
