After Raymond Lam expressed his intention to leave the entertainment industry, TVB has been recalling its former artistes such as Dayo Wong and Charmaine Sheh to return to the TV station. It is said that Steven Ma will also be returning to TVB in May!
Steven requested for an early release from his contract last year after expressing his happiness on the working arrangements. TVB’s production head Catherine Tsang reportedly had persuaded him to sign a per-series contract after that. However, Steven declined the contract as he had already accepted a mainland drama. Last year in September, Ms Tsang reportedly had also invited Steven to film a 30-episode drama but he had to decline again due to his clashing schedule.
Although Steven has not formerly signed the contract with TVB, it is said that he is returning to his former TV station in May. Ms Tsang had also confirmed that she had invited Steven to return. “I invited him to return a year ago,” said Ms Tsang.
Steven Ma also confirmed that he was discussing the details with TVB. “Ms Tsang has been contacting me but I can’t confirm anything currently. There are still many details to be discussed. There will be a concrete respond before the lunar near year”.
