According to Hong Kong tabloids, Andy Lau could be welcoming his second child soon.
Reports stated that Andy’s wife, Carol Chu had initially arranged a pre-school for their daughter in Canada. Upon realising that she was pregnant, the 47-year-old rushed back to Hong Kong and shared the good news with Andy.
Sources also disclosed that Carol had visited a well-known obstetrician in Central, Hong Kong for a checkup. In August, she was also spotted visiting a Chinese physician in Causeway Bay, believing to be related to her pregnancy.
An insider shared that an ultrasound scan revealed that Carol is expecting a baby boy.
While attending an event last month, Andy’s fans sent in their blessings for him to have a second baby. Upon hearing this, Andy laughed happily and even replied, “Thank you everyone for your blessings. We will let nature takes its course. Appreciate it.”
This was a stark difference from Andy’s usual respond in which he would normally ask his fans to “behave nicely”.
Andy’s father reportedly also could not contain his excitement and shared the joyous news with his friends. When a reporter went up and congratulated Andy’s father of becoming a grandfather again, he replied, “I am very happy!” When the reporter probed further, Andy’s father would just smile.
Andy, who was in Nanjing for his concert yesterday, dismissed the report through his manager. He said, “There is no such thing at all!”
