Yesterday, Eric Tsang announced his cast for his self-produced TVB drama, Aerobic Girls <Aerobic Girls舞室保衛戰>.

Seven 90s screen sweethearts have returned to TVB and they are Carman Lee, Angie Cheung, Rachel Lee, Elvina Kong, Fennie Yuen, Gloria Yip and Flora Chan. Among them, 39-year-old Carman and 47-year-old Rachel maintain their looks and figures well.

The cast for playing the younger versions of the seven lead stars were also introduced. Lawrence Ng will be the leading actor in the drama and his role will be twined around with the seven female stars.

Joking about his ‘lucky’ role, Lawrence said, “So many housewives were invited this time. Of course, they have to invite me who is a housewives’ killer!”

Eric also disclosed that he had plans to invite his good friend, Alan Tam to make a guest appearance as a 80s idol in the drama.

Aerobic Girls is adapted from Korean movie, Sunny which is about a middle-aged woman trying to fulfill her friend’s dying wish of reuniting their group of high school friends.

The story of Aerobic Girls evolves from the school days of the seven stars and how they reunite ten years later. They re-seek their memories from the youth and support each other in difficult times. The plot will mainly focus on Carmen and Rachel.

Eric has originally invited Pat Ha, Teresa Mo, Veronica Yip and Elsie Chan, but all have declined the roles due to personal commitments. However, Teresa will still be involved in the project and plays the role of a mentor to the newcomers.
