Taiwanese diva, A-Mei (張惠妹) was slammed by fans recently for adding an extra show in Kaohsiung.

A-Mei’s concert, AMeiZING on 8 December 2012 was publicised initially as her final show in Kaohsiung National Stadium. In order to get the tickets for the last show, many fans started to queue for the purchase in August and resulted in a crazy sweeping of the concert tickets.

The sudden announcement of the additional show on 9 December 2012 drew dissatisfaction from fans and A-Mei was blasted for being ”dishonest”.

Returning to Taiwan yesterday, A-Mei apologised to the fans and expressed, “From now onwards, I will not add any more shows even if the media has requested.”

A-Mei clarified that the additional show was for fans who were unable to purchase her last concert tickets. She also knew that some fans had spent an exorbitant sum of NT$100,000 to purchase from the black market. A-Mei also vowed to feed her fans with a spectacular performance for the two shows in Kaohsiung.

Ticket sales for the 9 December 2012 concert has been incredible. From the 45,000 tickets released for sale yesterday, 40,000 tickets had already been sold.
