November seems to be an auspicious month to get married. After the weddings of Guo Jingjing and Kenneth Fok; Alex To and Ice Lee, yesterday also marked the wedding ceremony of 37-year-old Angela Tong (湯盈盈) and 47-year-old Chin Kar Lok (錢嘉樂).
After dating for five years, Angela and Kar Lok finally tied the knot at the panda gallery at Ocean Park Hong Kong. The wedding ceremony was attended by 50 relatives and close friends. Celebrities who attended include Timmy Hung (洪天明), Janet Chow (周家蔚), Wilson Chin (錢國偉), Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), Toby Leung (梁靖琪) and Margaret Chung (鍾麗淇).
The venue will leave a special memory to the couple as pandas ‘Lok Lok’ and ‘Ying Ying’ will be the couple’s witnesses during their wedding solemnisation. Pandas ‘Lok Lok’ and ‘Ying Ying’ also share the same Chinese name as Angela and Kar Lok. Angela and Kar Lok is the first couple to hold their wedding there.
To minimise disturbance to the pandas, the wedding had to be conducted quietly. However, the solemn wedding ceremony did not stop the passion from burning between the couple. Angela and Kar Lok kissed several times during the wedding.
After the wedding ceremony ended, Kar Lok immediately addressed Angela’s parents as mom and dad. Upon hearing it, Angela was moved to tears.
Although in her five month pregnancy, Angela still put on a three-inch high heeled shoes. Angela said to Kar Lok, “I know you will hold me”. Kar Lok replied sweetly to his beloved wife, “I will be there to hold you in future.”
After the wedding ceremony, Kar Lok said that he only read his wedding vows once although he was nervous. He also jokingly said, “The only English words I knew was ‘I Do'”. In the end, it was Angela who stuttered and even requested to read the vows one more time.
Saying that the baby was their lucky charm, Kar Lok said, “The baby really brings us good luck. Recently, my movies were nominated for awards. I won the car racing game and even won a pair of business class air tickets during a game. We can use the air tickets to go for our honeymoon after the baby is born”.
However, the couple was tight-lipped about the baby gender but will play a guessing game of the baby gender with the guests at their wedding banquet. The winner who guesses correctly the baby gender will win a pair of business class air tickets to Thailand.
