Recently, 42-year-old Chilam Cheung has swept many women off their feet, playing a dashing and flirty pilot in Triumph in the Skies 2 <冲上云霄 II>. His ‘Captain Cool’ role has become the talk of the town and even outshines veteran actor, Francis Ng’s character.
With his growing popularity, Anita Yuen reportedly has been keeping tabs on her husband and is even said to deliberately makes him less attractive to women.
Last week, Chilam and Anita took their son to Singapore for a vacation. At the S.E.A Aquarium at Sentosa, a fatter Chilam was spotted in the pool playing with his son. Chilam’s rounder body is a far cry from his masculine pilot look.
An insider revealed that Anita had deliberately beef up his body so that they can look more compatible. “Anita knows that many women will take the initiative to get close to Chilam. Although Chilam behaves well now, she still rather keeps tabs on him,” said the insider.
“Anita does not allow her husband to work out at the gym. She said that if he was so free to go gym, why didn’t he spend more time with the son.”
The insider also revealed that Anita would cook many good food to feed Chilam. After filming Triumph in the Skies 2, Chilam put on nearly 20 pounds after staying at home for seven months.
Anita allegedly tries to control Chilam’s finances too. She knows that a man will go astray when he has too much money. In the past, Chilam and Anita would invest in properties separately. However, last year, both set up a company and invested more than HK$11 million in an apartment and the money was all forked out by Chilam.
Anita will also raise her alert if Chilam goes filming in China. Besides calling him frequently, she also uses her son to video chat with him so that she can find out about his whereabouts. The insider said that he would often take his son along to visit Chilam at the film set on the pretext of spying him.
Anita allegedly would also give her opinions about selection of the leading actress for Chilam.
“Whenever Chilam accepts a filming, she will give her opinions. She is not analysing the script but she will analyse the co-star whom Chilam is working with. She will not allow him to accept any drama related to frequently rumoured actress or actress with busty figure. Anita feels rest assured with actresses like Annie Liu, Myolie Wu and Fala Chen who have little rumours,” said an inside source.
