After the Top Ten Chinese Gold Songs Awards two nights ago, Chrissie Chau openly announces the breakup with Avis Chan. Tabloids reported that Chrissie ended the 6-year relationship after finding out that Avis had cheated on her with a 19-year-old model, Vivian.
Since entering into the entertainment circle, Chrissie already declared that she had a hairstylist boyfriend. Avis also successfully followed Chrissie into the showbiz and filmed a movie, Lan Kwai Fong 2 <喜爱夜蒲2>. Despite having a goddess as his girlfriend, Avis was constantly surrounded by rumours with his co-stars. He was rumoured with Theresa Fu when he accompanied her to bring her dog to a vet two years ago. Last year, he was rumoured with Mia when filming Lan Kwai Fong 2 together.
Yesterday, tabloids managed to dig up from Vivian’s Facebook a photo of Avis and her sleeping together. In that photo, Avis rested his head closely to Vivian. Avis and Vivian reportedly met through a common friend and hooked up two months ago at a party in Central. As Chrissie travelled frequently, Avis reportedly took the opportunity to date Vivian when his girlfriend was not around.
Towards the end of last year, Chrissie allegedly found out about their affair after the couple was photographed returning to Avis’ home. This led Chrissie “harden” her heart and broke off with Avis. When the bed photo exposed, both Avis and Vivian were uncontactable. The photo was also removed from Vivian’s Facebook.
Asked if she knew who Vivian was, Chrissie replied, “I do not know. Actually, it is hard to determine who is right and who is wrong in a relationship. Our breakup was not caused by anyone. I do not wish to drag anyone into the picture. The major problem comes from our lack of communication and interaction. We broke up peacefully”.
Chrissie also said that she had not keep in contact with Avis after their breakup.
