Two days ago, Nicholas Tse (谢霆锋) revealed that he used to have a skin tumour on his head and this shocked many fans.

Nicholas initially thought the he could use laser to remove the pigmented spot but the doctor highlighted that the spot already developed into a tumour. The doctor also diagnosed that Nicholas was suffering from Melanoma, and Nicholas stated that it was a form of skin cancer. He never imagined that the tumour was about the size of a meatball after it was extracted and the surgery caused him 5 stitches on his head.

Yesterday, Nicholas was surrounded by reporters when he arrived at the Hong Kong airport. Donning a cap and a grey coloured sweater, Nicholas assured everyone that he was fine.

“I am ok, I am ok, I am doing well. I only spoke about it during the interview and mentioned that I had recovered,” said Nicholas.

Earlier, Nicholas revealed that he had kept his condition from his father, Patrick Tse (謝賢). “He only knew about it today after reading the newspapers. Many reporters called me to express their concern. I already said that I am doing well. If there was anything wrong, I would not even say it out at all!”

Nicholas also said that he was most worried about his sons, Lucas and Quintus when he first knew his condition. He called his ex-wife Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) immediately. Speaking about his ex-wife’s humorous consolation, Nicholas said, “She (Cecilia) is so optimistic and asked me not to worry too much. She said that heaven will not allow a bad guy to die that early!”

Besides disclosing his skin tumour, Nicholas also mentioned that his biggest failure was not being able to dine with his family for 13 years. There was once he cried out when he dined with his parents and sister Jennifer Tse (謝婷婷) after Jennifer said, ”Daddy, Mummy and brother, let’s eat.”
