It was both a romantic and emotional night for Charlie Yeung and her long-time boyfriend, Khoo Shao Tze.
39-year-old actress, Charlie finally tied the knot with her Singaporean beau at the W Hotel, Sentosa yesterday. The wedding was estimated to cost HK$2.3 million and about 300 guests were invited to the banquet. The ballroom was romantically decorated with purple coloured accessories and flowers. At the reception was also a large backdrop with a photo of the blissful couple that wrote, “Because you have touched our lives, with so much love and care.”
Among the celebrities that attended were Anita Yuen, Angelica Lee and husband Oxide Pang, Gigi Leung and her husband, Valen Hsu, Tsui Hark and more.
Dressed in a sleek and glamorous Romona Keveza fishtail wedding gown, Charlie said, “I am very happy and blessed to have all our family and friends to attend our wedding, especially those who flown in from abroad.”
“I cry very easily as there are many emotional moments tonight.”
When asked if Shao Tze had proposed to her in May, Charlie smiled, “This is a secret. I am not going to tell you.”
Asked about her baby plans, Charlie said, “We are going to let nature take its course. Everyone is asking me this question. I and Shao Tze had also discussed about it before.”
Charlie’s father could not attend the wedding as he had suffered a stroke earlier. A teary eyed Charlie said, “His health is not that good due to his age, but he had sent his blessings to us.”
Responding why he was attracted to Charlie, Shao Tze replied cheekily, “How much time do you have?”
He later added, “We have known each other for 20 years and I can’t sum up in one sentence. All I can say is that she has all along been my angel.”
