2013 TVB Anniversary Awards concluded with surprising results. Dayo Wong won the TV King title, beating hot favourites Chilam Cheung and Francis Ng.
This year’s TV King and TV Queen were voted by both the professionals and the public. According to the scorecard released by TVB, Dayo’s scored the highest in professional score with 28.16, but his public votes were the lowest among the top three contenders.
Dayo only scored 19.87, as compared to Chilam who came in second place and secured the highest public votes (24.37). With his exceptionally high professional score, Dayo eventually took home the TV King title.
The scorecard indicated that Chilam was the audience’s choice of TV King, but he lost to Dayo who won the hearts of the professionals instead.
