Annie Yi recently got into hot soup for her insensitive remarks on the late Anita Mui. There was also rumour that she could be dropped off from the variety show ‘Sisters Who Make Waves’ (乘風破浪的姐姐).

Although her ex-husband, Harlem Yu did not respond on the issue, he was discovered clicking like on an online comment which supported Annie.

One netizen wrote, “I feel that Annie Yi is very nice, and has high EQ. She treats her husband and her parents-in-laws well. Why did you all smear her? You are all bad people. Stay true to yourself. Support Annie Yi!”

Annie and Harlem divorced 11 years ago, and has a 18-year-old son, Harrison Yu. In an interview, Annie also sang praises of Harlem. She said that Harlem was the stricter parent to Harrison, and that their son is very well-mannered. When he learns something, he works very hard, just like his father.

When Harrison entered into university, she told him, “You have to be like your father. Do not end up like me. Your mum tried everything, but none of it succeed. Your father brought western music into the Chinese music. Your father is the only one. There is no second person at that era.”

After report surfaced, many netizens praise Harlem for being the best ex-husband. However, his manager has since denied that it was not Harlem himself who clicked like on the comment.

Harlem’s social media accounts are handled by his assistants, and that assistant has forgotten to switch the account. His manager also said that since both the ex-couple has their families now, he will not respond on the issue.
