James Wen has suffered from backlash for dragging his wedding registration with long-time girlfriend, Xiao Jun after their baby was born on April this year.
Yesterday, the couple finally appeared at the Household Registration Office to register for their marriage as well as registering the birth of their baby. James was wearing a mask yesterday, but the officer at the Household Registration Office recognised him and even waved excitedly at him.
Speaking on their wedding registration, James said, “My wife is very happy, but I have heavier responsibility now. Getting married and having baby are important events in life and I have to work even harder.”
For the past three weeks, James has been travelling to Malaysia, Singapore and China for work. He has to rely on the webcam to look at his daughter. James spoke excitedly about his baby, “My daughter looks like me, but when she smiles, she looks like my wife.”
James has named his daughter, Wen Yong Qing as his daughter was born on a clear weather.
