Besides a singing and acting career, the multi-talented Jay Chou also becomes an entrepreneur.

Since investing in a western food restaurant, ‘Mr J’ in 2006 in Taipei, Jay’s food and beverage business has been booming. Within a year, ‘Mr J’ had already recouped its capital and Jay’s fans had been flocking to patronise the restaurant. Jay himself also tries to create buzz by dining at his own restaurant.

However, it seems that ‘Mr J’ has stopped operating recently and has even refused visitors. There were speculations that Jay’s restaurant had gone bust due to mismanagement.

Yesterday, a spokesperson from JVR Music (Jay’s recording label) clarified that ‘Mr J’ was only temporarily closed for business due to the lease expiration. Jay also has the intention to source for a new location and re-opens it again after a revamp.

Operating for more than six years, ‘Mr J’ was often complained by the residents in the neighborhood for its noise pollution. Wondering if Jay’s relocation have anything to do with the residents’ complaints?
