Hong Kong Cantopop singer, Jinny Ng shot to fame after singing the ending theme of TVB blockbuster drama, Line Walker <使徒行者> – Love Is Not Easy <越难越爱>.
With her popularity increases, criticisms and scandals also follow her. A netizen has claimed that before Jinny was famous, she was a singing hostess at a nightclub in Tsim Sha Tsui, and her nickname was Curry at that time.
This nightclub was a high-end night spot, with many celebrities such as Eric Tsang and Jackie Chan often patronising it.
A singing hostess from a nightclub claimed that Jinny was indeed a singing hostess there before, and she had heard it from a “mummy” there. The singing hostess also stressed that their job was only to accompany clients to sing, and there was no contact with the client.
When asked on the rumours, Jinny said, “It has been circulated for quite some time. I won’t respond to untrue rumours.”
