Leehom Wang (王力宏) can’t seem to shake off scandalous news these days. After being photographed for bringing model, Evelyn Lin home for Halloween, Leehom is now embroiled in a prostitution scandal.
Taiwanese tabloids reported that a scantily dressed woman headed to a “quality idol” house in east Taipei on 15 November 2012. The woman who was reportedly to be of a Korean nationality, later walked out from the idol’s house and hopped into another man’s car. She subsequently proceeded to a motel.
When showed by the reporter a photo of the celebrity, the woman only responded, “He is a tall guy” and said that they had shared a room together.
Although no celebrity was identified in the reports, many netizens have speculated that it was Leehom whom the tabloids was referring to. Leehom was once given the title “quality idol” when he first started his singing career. Since then, no other pop stars were given this title.
However, many fans also defended Leehom saying that Leehom’s height was only 175 cm and he was not considered tall at all.
Leehom is currently working in Shanghai. Asked if the singer was in Taiwan on 15 November, Leehom’s manager responded, “We will not comment to reports that have nothing to do Leehom”.
