EN03_010Makiyo’s mother was diagnosed with fourth stage of lung cancer and has stopped all the chemotherapy treatment. Although she was informed by doctor that she is only left with four months to live, Makiyo’s mother is living life to the fullest.

Sharing her mother’s condition, Makiyo said, “Mum is looking better and she will date her friends out for meals everyday. She is living happily and I hope that she will continue to battle with her illness. It is really hard on her.”

Besides stopping her chemotherapy treatment, Makiyo’s mother has stopped eating Chinese medicine too. Her mother said, “It is hard to eat those Chinese medicine. I am eating normally and try to consume light meals. It’s fine just to lead a happy life.”

Besides praying her mother’s health at church, Makiyo also pampers her with a NT$50,000 bag on the mother’s day. Makiyo used to give a NT$100,000 red packet to her mother yearly, but after embroiling in a taxi driver assault case with her Japanese ex-boyfriend Takateru Tomoyori last February, her reputation hit to a rock bottom. As a result, her earnings is greatly reduced and she now has to rely on overseas performances to earning a living.

Currently drawing an average of NT$300,000 per month, Makiyo selects a bag with a special meaning for her mother this year. “The bag was bought from Shanghai last week. It is called Angel bag and I think it suits my mum perfectly well.”

Makiyo also has plans to take her mother on a Hokkaido vacation at the end of the month. However, Makiyo’s mother is still considering the vacation. She said, “I am worried that I would dampen everyone’s mood due to my weak stamina.”
