Hong Kong singer Zaina Sze (施匡翹), her manager Apple Lai-ping Lau, and a publicity staff have contracted Covid-19. Apple’s boyfriend, Robert Mak Tak Law has also confirmed to be a positive case.

According to Hong Kong media, Robert Mak had earlier attended a party at Tsim Sha Tsui, and various celebrities like Ron Ng, Michael Tse, Remus Choy and Matthew Ko were present too. The guests did not wear masks, and stayed 3 hours for dinner and karaoke session.

In a press interview, Michael Tse said that the event was on July 4, and he has passed the 14-day incubation period. He said, “I am fine! The party was on July 4. I did not develop any fever or symptoms.”

Michael did not undergo any testing since he had no symptoms. He shared that the event was a birthday party, restricted to 50 pax. At the party, they did remove their masks. He also took photo with Robert Mak. He said the guests he knew all did not develop any symptoms, and believed Robert Mak contracted the virus after the party.

Although present at the party, Remus Choy did not recall seeing Robert Mak. He said, “It was an ex-PolyGram’s colleague birthday party. I popped over for a short while at 7 pm, passed him a red packet and saw Ron Ng when I left at 8 pm. I did not see Robert Mak and Joey Tang at all. Thank you everyone for your concern. I exercise everyday to keep myself fit, and have not been going out recently. Now that the pandemic is serious, everyone should take care and better stay at home for meals.”
