Hong Kong actress and singer, Miriam Yeung has recently undergone surgery. While she did not reveal her health condition, there were reports that she was suffering from endometriosis, a gynaecological medical condition which may cause infertility.

The 39-year-old gave birth via Caesarean section last year and resumed work after three months of recuperation. Due to a lack of post natal care and rest, Miriam’s health deteriorated. After having their first baby boy, Miriam and her husband, Real Ting reportedly are trying to have a baby girl soon. In order not to affect her fertility, Miriam immediately went for a surgery.

Yesterday, Miriam clarified her health condition and denied suffering from endometriosis. She wrote on her micro-blog, “My friends, please be rest assured. It is only a small ailment and I have dealt with it for the sake of my health. It is not that serious as claimed by the tabloids. I also did not contract any endometriosis.”

She added, “There is no need to account for my private matter. However, I decided to share that I am well to stop further fabricated reports. Thank you for all your concern.”
