Earlier, Hong Kong actress Niki Chow (周麗淇) suffered a muscle pain during the filming of TVB drama, A Good Heart Goes Haywire . After several tests, Niki discovered that she had a tumour in her left calf which was close to her muscles.

Two days ago, Niki appeared at a fashion event in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong and disclosed that she had already undergone surgery for her muscle tumour.

Wearing a pair of 4-inch high-heeled shoes, Niki appeared to have recovered from her surgery as there was no sign of dressing at her wound.

Speaking about her surgery, Niki said, “The tumour was very close to my muscles and needed to adopt minimally invasive surgery to remove the bad tissues. The rest of the tissues will need to let them dissolved on their own.”

“The tumour was fortunately not malignant. The leg would hurt before the surgery. There is no pain anymore after the surgery. TVB has released me for the promotional event this evening. I will need to return to film a car speeding scene later,” added Niki.

Niki had hid her condition from her family earlier as her elder sister, Kathy Chow (周汶錡) was in the midst of her wedding preparations. Shortly after her surgery, she attended her sister’s wedding and acted as a bridesmaid at the big day.

Her sister, Kathy only knew of her surgery through media reports and chided Nicky afterwards.

“When I called her (Kathy), she lectured me and said ‘You are really daring to keep it from me. I had to know it from the reporter’. She knew that my leg was swollen but did not know about my surgery. My mom also scolded me through a phone call.”

Niki was also asked if she had sent her regards to her ex-boyfriend, Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) who suffered an eye injury during filming. Dodging the question, Niki replied, “I knew about it. It’s inevitable to get hurt while filming fighting scenes. Hope that everyone will be careful about it.”
