After her parents have divorced for 16 years, Rainie Yang has not seen her father for seven years. Last week, Rainie’s father has unfortunately passed away from a heart attack and she cried her heart out at her concert upon hearing the news.
Yesterday, Rainie attended a Mercedes event and put on her usual smiling face. She even emphasied to everyone that she was okay and doing well. However, Rainie was in tears when mentioned about her father during an interview.
Rainie regrets not being able to see her father the last time. In tears, the 29-year-old said, “Whatever I want to say to him is in my heart. He will know.”
Rainie also revealed that her father’s death had made her realised how much she loved him. Rainie recalled the times when her father had drove her around.
“My father used to drive me around when I was young. He even fed me duck wings and even till now, I love eating them.”
After her father’s business venture failed, Rainie had to shoulder the debts for him and spent seven years clearing his debts. Asked if she bear any grudges to him, Rainie replied, “I have never bear any grudges. Helping my parents is my responsibility.”
As her father did not remarry, both Rainie and her sister managed his funeral. As her family wishes to keep this a low-key affair, they do not want to reveal the funeral details.
Rainie will be releasing her new album next month. In order not to expose her new hairstyle, she has to wear a wig wherever she goes. Her neighbour is also beginning to suspect if she has turned crazy.
