Taiwanese artiste, Jacky Chu was arrested this morning (12 February 2013) for drug possession.
The former 183 club member was holding a party at home when a neighbour lodged a complaint for excessive noise. Jacky and his group of seven friends were at home when the police knocked on the door.
After opening the door, Jacky was drunk and appeared to be jittery. The police reportedly found a packet of 5-gram marijuana in his pocket. The police reportedly also found another pocket of drug at his home during the search. Jacky reportedly was arrested on the spot and sent to the police station for further interrogation.
Jacky cried innocence and defended that the drugs belonged to the property owner. “The drug was not mine. It belonged to the owner!”
Jacky also emphasised that he did not touch the drugs and was only assisting the police in their investigation.
It was not the first time that Jacky hit the headlines for drug abuse. In 2007, Jacky was kicked out from the 183 club after he was spotted frequenting the night spots regularly. After that, Jacky was sentenced to jail for smoking marijuana and was admitted into a 47 days of drug rehabilitation programme. After his rehabilitation programme, Jacky vowed not to touch drugs again and expressed, “I will not touch drugs again even if it appears in front of me!” 。
Jacky reportedly was also the former boyfriend of pop diva, Elva Hisao.
