Sire Ma broke down at the press conference yesterday, after a steamy dance clip and photo of her went viral. Facing the media for 20 minutes, Sire broke down in tears for three times.

Facing the consequences for her actions, Sire said, “I am an adult and have to bear the responsibility for my action. I am willing to be suspended by the company. I have to thank the company for supporting me. The suspension is to protect me and I need time to calm down.”

Sire disclosed that the video was filmed last year and she had made a police report. She denied filming the video and did not have the copies to the video. As Sire Ma was seeing mainland wealthy businesswoman, Wang Ziqi last year, fingers were pointing at Wang. Sire refused to disclose the identity of the person who shot the video.

“It’s someone I was once very close to. Just like what I said in my statement, I blindly trusted the wrong person. When you are in love, you would not guard yourself against the person. I once thought that loving a person should try to satisfy the other half. I am really foolish. I hope that this incident will make other women aware that they should always protect themselves.”

Sire also admitted that she had filmed more similar videos and photographs, but said that she did not have any copy to them. When asked if it was filmed by her ex-lover, Wang Ziqi, Sire declined to respond.

“I know who filmed them and who have them. As to how it was circulated, I will leave it to the police to investigate,” said Sire.

Wang, in her earlier statement said that she had received similar videos and photos from Sire during their relationship. Sire said, “This is very personal. Please allow me not to respond.”

When asked if she had regretted filming those videos, Sire said, “There is nothing to regret. I have to face the music since I had done it. I made the mistake so I have to admit it. I am very sure I had loved the wrong person. My willful behaviour has hurt many people, including the company, my family and friends.”

Sire said she had turned to Buddhism to cope with the difficult time. Sire is also grateful to her parents who have supported her when the scandal happened.

She also disclosed that since last year, she was battling with depression and have been taking medication to control her emotions.

“I realise that there are many people who love me and hence, I cannot be crushed easily. No matter how difficult is the hurdle, I cannot live in my past shadow.”
