Chinese actress, Tang Wei has just announced her engagement with Korean director, Kim Tae Yong and the couple will tie the knot in the fall.
Tang Wei, 34 and Kim, 44 first met at the set of Late Autumn <晚秋>, in which the latter was the director of the film. In October last year, Tang Wei visited Korea for a commercial shoot and reunited with Kim. Their relationship grew and progressed from friends to couple.
The couple has sought blessings from their parents and will have their wedding in the fall.
In a press statement from the couple, they described movie as their “most important witness.”
“Because of movie, we get to know each other and progress from friends to lovers. Later on, we will have to address each other as husband and wife. Although we both have to learn a foreign language, but this is our happiest moment. We believe that this will make us understand, respect and admire each other better.”
“Movie is our most important witness. Thank you each and every friend who has supported us! We also wish that you would not miss your fate when it’s knocking at your doorstep.”
