TVB actress Jeannie Chan’s relationship with Macau casino tycoon Stanley’s Ho son, Arnaldo Ho came to light last year.
However, recent rumours circulated that Arnaldo had dumped Jeannie as she was constantly pressurising him to get married.
After returning from Canada from a break, Jeannie attended an event today in Hong Kong and looked very relaxed and cheerful. During an interview, she admitted that her relationship with Arnaldo had “taken a step back”.
She said, “We both wanted to handle our relationship low-key, but this led to a lot of speculations. Actually, it is very simple, and it’s not as complicated as what the reports said. We wish to prioritise our careers, and let our relationship to take a step back.”
Asked if it was because of her pressurising her boyfriend to get married, Jeannie said, “Definitely not. I am a little angry. We never talked about such a thing, and I am even not ready to get married yet.”
Jeannie said that they were stressed out that the public was overly concern on their relationship.
“We were both stressed out. We are currently very comfortable and happy. (Did you initiate the breakup?) Let’s not go into details.”
Jeannie also denied that their breakup was due to Owen Cheung. She also stressed that Owen was just her good friend.
