Myolie Wu has officially signed with Stephen Shiu Jr.’s Company, GME China.
Yesterday, GME China held a grand press conference at a cinema, and arranged Myolie to appear from a box during a magic show. This signified that Myolie would be moving from a television star to a movie star.
Myolie wore a stunning red dress, with 20-carat sparkling jewellery at the event. Many celebrity friends such as Chilam Cheung, Simon Yam and Wayne Lai also sent their congratulations through a video.
Reports said that Myolie had signed a four-year contract for HK$35 million with GME China. Myolie declined to reveal the exact figure, but said that she was offered a good price. Myolie also said that she would not rule out working with TVB again
“TVB will always be my home. If there is any suitable script, I will be happy to film drama again,” said Myolie.
After her departure, Myolie’s chance of winning the TV Queen award has diminished. She said, “I will leave it to fate, but I will definitely help to promote the new drama, Every Step You Take <陪著你走>.”
When asked if she would get married at the end of the year, Myolie declined to respond, but said that her contract allowed her to get married and have children.
“Anyway, my schedule is packed till end of the year. I will only talk about work today. He [referring to her boyfriend] is very supportive.”
