Charlie Yeung reportedly will tie the knot with her Singaporean lawyer boyfriend, Khoo Shao Tze on coming Saturday in Singapore.

According to the Hong Kong media, 39-year-old Charlie and her 43-year-old boyfriend had an on-off relationship in their 19 years of dating. The couple got back together in 2011 and Shao Tze had been proposing to Charlie several times since then.

As Charlie hoped to fulfill her dream of becoming a film director, their marriage plan was put on hold. It was until in May this year after Charlie released her directorial debut, Christmas Rose <聖誕玫瑰>, Shao Tze once again proposed to Charlie.

A source said that Shao Tze had proposed to Charlie on her 39th birthday on 23 May 2013 and moved her with his love declaration. He was heard saying to Charlie, “From now and forever, whether it is good or bad time, prosperity or poverty, health or sickness, joy or sorrow, I will always love and cherish you. Please marry me!”

Charlie and Shao Tze reportedly will hold their wedding at a five star hotel in Singapore on this coming Saturday. In order not to leak out their wedding, the couple has decided to do away with the invitation cards and rather invited their guests through phone calls. About 20 friends from the entertainment industry are invited to the wedding in Singapore, and among them are Gigi Leung, Chilam Cheung and Anita Yuen, Aaron Kwok, Valen Hsu, Angelica Lee and her spouse Oxide Pang Chun, Tsui Hark, etc.

For her wedding preparations, Charlie has flown in to Singapore a few months ago and has already tried her wedding gowns. The couple is also scheduled to start on their pre-wedding photoshoot in a few days’ time.

Charlie’s good friend, Gigi remained tight lipped when asked about the wedding this weekend. Gigi said, “I have nothing to respond! Charlie has always been very serious in her relationship. Why don’t we just give her some space!”
