After seven years of dating, Ekin Cheng and Yoyo Mung finally tied the knot!

The couple held a cosy wedding at a castle restaurant in Tokyo yesterday. About 50 relatives and friends of the couple were invited. Close friends such as Ekin’s manager, Sandy Lamb and her boyfriend, Jerry Lamb and his wife Hong Tze Li, Chan Kwong Wing, Cyrus Chow and Yoyo’s manager attended the wedding.

The wedding reportedly was planned and conceptualised by Ekin and it was kept in suspense from the guests. As it was highly confidential, Ekin’s manager Sandy Lamb had no idea that she was attending Ekin’s wedding!

Sandy disclosed that she had received an impromptu invitation from Ekin. “I received a meal invitation from him (Ekin) asking ‘Do you have time for a meal?’ A week later, I received another message from him asking, ‘Do you have time for a meal in Tokyo?'”

Sandy added, “Everyone knows his personality. It must be some big event”.

Hence, all the guests booked their tickets and hotels. Upon arrival at Tokyo, everyone boarded a coach and headed to the castle restaurant. But little did they know that they were going to attend Ekin and Yoyo’s wedding.

The venue was decorated with fresh flowers and the wedding was carried in a french fashion, serving the guests with french cuisine. Ekin was handsomely tucked in a black tuxedo, whereas Yoyo was elegantly dressed in a black evening gown. While giving her speech on stage, Yoyo was too emotional that she could not carry on delivering her speech.

“Yoyo already started crying when she started talking. As for Ekin, we did not expect that he would weep after speaking for only two sentences. They thanked us for coming all the way here. However, we did not know what to give the couple. It caught us by surprise. Everyone did not know that it was a wedding ceremony!”

Sandy also disclosed the most touching moment of the night. “The most moving moment was when Ekin called Yoyo ‘Lou Po’ (my wife in cantonese). All the brothers including Chan Kwong Wing and Jerry Lamb started calling Yoyo ‘Ah Sou’ (sister-in-law in cantonese). This ended a beautiful evening”.

This afternoon, Ekin also confirmed his wedding news on his Weibo. He posted a pair of teddy bears with initials E and Y, representing their names, Ekin and Yoyo. Sharing the joyous news with fans, Ekin wrote, “We have entered into a new phase of our life. From now onwards, we will not be lonely anymore. Thank you!”
