Blockbuster movie, “Young and Dangerous” will return soon!
Director Wong Jing (王晶) announced that he would remake the classic movie in 1996, which had spun six sequels. Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健) and Jordan Chan (陳小春) had their breakout roles in the movie and their popularity shot up tremendously! “Young and Dangerous” also stirred up a craze of triads theme movies at that time.
However, the original cast will be replaced for the new version. It is said that Him Law (羅仲謙), Oscar Leung (梁烈唯), Sammy Shum (沈震軒), Jazz Lam (林子善) and Paul Wong (黃貫中) will be starring in the new version. Mainland actress, Hu Ran (胡然) will be the lead actress.
In order not to restrict the age limit of the viewers, the classic version avoided featuring vulgarities and violent scenes. Hence, many audiences criticised the movie for its unrealistic scenes, given that the movie was about the adventures of a group of triad members.
As it is a category III film this time, the remake version will feature more violence, profanities and daring bed scenes. As Him has a well-built figure, he will replace Ekin to play Chan Ho-Nam, who is the soul character of the whole movie.
